
We know trying something new can feel intimidating — here’s everything you need to feel confident walking into your first Pilates class.
- Please know, no prior experience is needed.
- We offer various class levels to ensure you choose one that fits your ability and comfort, while also providing options for advanced progressions.
What to Wear & Bring
- Fitted, comfortable workout clothes (avoid zippers/buttons)
- Grip socks (for safety & hygiene). We also have grip socks for
- Ponytail for long hair (safety)
- Water bottle
- Optional: small towel
Before Class Tips
- Arrive 5-10 minutes early
- Inform instructor of injuries or concerns
- Avoid heavy meals right before class
- Silence phone & store belongings
What to Expect During Class
- Warm-up, main exercises, cool-down
- Instructor will adjust springs/resistance for you or tell you exactly what to change for springs
- You’ll learn basic movements like Footwork, Legs in Straps…
- You’ll learn Pilates terminology like Pilates V and Parallel…
- Expect a mix of strength, flexibility, and balance work
Safety & Comfort
- Note: form is more important than speed
- We encourage asking questions
- Consider starting with 2–3 classes per week for best results and learning Pilates form and terminology
Meet the Allegro 2 Reformer/Tower!
- What it is: A versatile Pilates apparatus with moving carriage, springs, straps, and tower attachments. Don’t worry, the instructors will (safely) teach you all about it!
- Why it’s great for beginners: Adjustable resistance, low impact, guided movement, supports proper alignment.
